"Art is the natural by-product of my existence. My version of photosynthesis. The images that emerge from me are tangible snapshots of the thirst for beauty and connectedness, and the relief in seeing it all around in a short moment of openness."
Annalee started creating art as most children do, and simply never let anyone talk her out of it. She is largely self taught, and with the help of many excellent and varied mentors along the way she's carved out a creative niche for herself as an acrylic painter and Visual practitioner. Her artwork focuses on interwoven contexts of humans as part of nature and conveys a subtle emotionality and peaceful longing.
Annalee is capturing attention as she emerges into the art scene with openness, and dedication. Her work has been featured on The Women’s Art Museum of Canada’s online gallery, and she was a popular competitor at the 2014 Art Battle Vancouver. Annalee has also been a featured artist at Bringing Artists Together- an event bridging the gap between dance, music and visual art. In 2013, She has had the pleasure of serving as an artist in residence- inspiring students through art classes at L’École des Pionniers.
